First up today is a brand new Indigo/Indigo from Naked & Famous, the Super Skinny Guy Stretch! The warp threads are rope dyed to a deep indigo so that they'll fade beautifully, while the weft thread is dyed through to a slightly lighter indigo.
Naked & Famous "Super Skinny Guy" 12.5oz Indigo/Indigo Stretch Selvedge. 98% cotton, 2% elastane, made in Canada. Sizes 28-34, 36. $165. For more information, click here.
The denim features a light indigo leather patch, and tonal stitching.
The classic red and white selvedge is a great contrast against the dark denim. Here you can see the slight difference between the indigo of the warp and weft.
Additionally, our favorite of the new Fall collection, the Natural Indigo x Kakishibu is now available in the Skinny Guy fit! The warp yarn of the denim uses a natural indigo, one of the world's oldest dyes, which creates a rich deep blue. The weft is dyed using a Japanese dye called Kakishibu, which means persimmon dye. The tannin in the persimmon fruit creates an earthy brown that has unique character. Additionally,
Naked & Famous "Skinny Guy" 11oz Natural Indigo Kakishibu Selvedge in True Indigo. 100% cotton, made in Canada. Sizes 28-34, 36. $195. For more information, click here.
The patch used on the denim is a thick, natural leather that will age just as beautifully as the denim itself.
Like all Naked & Famous denim, the Kakishibu selvedge uses custom branded nickel hardware.
Here you can see the details of the tonal stitching, which almost matches the brown of the persimmon dyed weft. The brown weft peaks through the warp threads, and gives the jeans a natural hue.
The pure white selvedge line is a great contrast against the brown weft and deep blue of the natural indigo warp.
