Japan Blue x Blue Owl 16.5oz Unsanforized Deep Blue "Monster" Launching 7/26/14 at 11AM PST



We are excited to finally announce that our newest collaboration in the Japan Blue x Blue Owl collaboration series, the 16.5oz Unsanforized Deep Blue "Monster," will be available to order this Saturday, July 26th at 11AM PST. This will be a limited edition run of 200 pairs in Japan Blue's Tapered model only. Made in Japan. $220.



Alongside the release of the Deep Blue "Monster," Blue Owl Workshop is excited to announce our first ever fade contest. Details of the contest are as follows:
- Anyone who purchases the Deep Blue "Monster" is automatically entered
- Contest runs from date denim is received to March 18th, 2015
- Entries can be submitted to sales@blueowl.us or by using the hashtag #deepbluemonster on Instagram
- 1st Prize: $300 in BOW Points

Denim soaked in bathtub for approx. one hour in hottest possible tap water.


For this collaboration we took Japan Blue's famous heavyweight "Monster" fabric, and turned it into an unsanforized indigo/black denim. Despite being dark in color, this denim still retains all of the slubby character that made the original "Monster" fabric so great. Because this denim is unsanforized, the fabric will actually be closer to 17oz after the initial soak.
