Our second jacket from Canada Goose is the Chateau, a sleek and cleanly designed long parka that is one of their most popular models. As always with Canada Goose, the details make the jacket, so check them out below.
Chateau Parka in Navy. Premium duck down, made in Canada. Sizes XS-L. $745. For more information, click here.
The highlight of the coat is the hood, which uses real coyote fur trim. Canada Goose uses coyote because it never freezes, doesn't hold water, and the uneven hair lengths create a windbreak that protects exposed skin, helping to reduce heat loss from the face. This holds as true in urban environments as much as it does in the high Arctic.
Here you can see the detail on the fur.
The trim is removable with a small YKK Japan zipper.
Without the fur the hood has a lower profile and won't be as warm, making the jacket versatile.
The jacket features two hand warmer pockets that inset and hidden by sewn in flaps. The design creates the look of a smooth surface, making the jacket lend itself more to a sleek and fashionable aesthetic.
Military button closure on the storm placket. Here you can also see the single zip chest pocket that makes a convenient phone or keys pocket.
Here you can see the details on the military buttons, which are sewn firmly into the shell of the jacket. The actual front closure is a two way YKK Japan zipper.
The inside of the jacket features two drop in pockets and one zip closure ticket pocket.
